actually I think I was on point. Access passed the resistance point and broke up to 26. That's a 44% up swing, even if you bought at 18 (at the time I posted it was about 17). If you sold as it come down then you still made a profit. At the end of the post I recommended it as a medium term position so if you still had it today its still a 30% gain(from about 18)
This month my buys are EQTY and NMG. Wait for the tide to slow and dip in. They both have dividend yields that can compete with T-bills interest rates, and forward looking PE's that are low, which suggests a good buy from stable industry giants. Buy when red, sell when green. And I agree with you, the market is slow however there are still opportunities for 30% -60% here and there.

Subject: Is it realy time to Buy Access?
Hey Bro, your Prediction is alittle off, Access is an easy going stock, pretty much all the stocks on the NSE are pretty slow.
I realy need some advice on who to contact so I can switch my broker Funny thing I only have a CDS account and I do all my stuff for myself.
I need someone who could tell me when and where to make the right moves.
Yes, I want it easy.

I think its a good time to get in and here is how I would/can/am
•Decide on a total amount you are willing to invest in AK
•Break that amount into 4 parts
•Buy AK in equal amounts every week from now for the next 4 weeks
•Begin buying once it goes below 16.50/=
•Buy even if it keeps dropping/increasing since you will get an average at the end of final purchase
•I would be more careful once it goes above 20/= before April. See what general direction the market is headed at that time
•AK will become bullish again once it crosses the 21/= mark and stays above for 2 weeks straight. That is the first resistance level
Make your investment a 24 month one and you should be fine. As for brokers....hmmm....with the mess on the NSE and the firms getting caught up with unauthorized trading of accounts, plus the fakes, quacks and schemers unraveling in the US market, maybe the brokers are not our friends. Such forums could be a better source of info from non affiliated people (except of course if you have some ties with a company that is listed, or an idiot posting garbage)

Subject: Your broker sucks?
Shardy083, I bet your broker sucks!! I wonder how much you pay him besides the regular commission. Good brokers who can objectively advise and make you money cost a bundle - High net worth persons don't have the same headaches you and I seem to have, they can buy their brokers. Such people don't participate in this blog, only you and I do, that said, it means that you and I are struggling to survive, and therefore ever more need each other. Well, where were you on Jan 8th when I recommended that Access Kenya was still a good by at 23.50? It hovers around 33.50 now! I bet, though in the LONG TERM now, this thing is going to hit KShs50 for reasons I aready gave. Fare you well!!!!!!!!

I continue to believe that the stock is still a good buy even at 25.00. The management is very committed and if they differentiate themselves as the market leaders the stock can continue to appreciate, depending on which government sits on the throne!! Tchnology is still very young though very competetive. And AK must remain that competative to be viable!!!!!!!

Funtasy,
I dunno whether you went on and bought. I bought myself around the time you sent the post and have since gained Kshs. 4.50....
...also, AK's have few commercial risks standing in their way, if any. The stock is sitting pretty. it looks good and at 23.50 thereabouts, is well priced. I see it as the next Kenol Kobil of the Services sector.
